Why is Colosan our Number One recommendation for everyone, regardless of what ails them?
For two compelling reasons: First, it is impossible to get full – or perhaps any – benefit from nutritional supplements, if a clogged colon prevents the substances from getting into the cells; Second, until the digestive system is thoroughly cleansed, chances are fecal contamination is contributing to all your health problems.
For starters: here's the list of some very common diseases and disorders that are directly related to a dysfunctional colon:
-
Constipation - Many people in this country struggle with this extremely dangerous problem. Constipation has been implicated in the cause of numerous diseases and disorders (see below).
-
Cancer of the Colon and Rectum
(Colorectal Cancer) is the second most common form of cancer overall in the United States (exceeded only by lung cancer). This year alone, there will be approximately 150,000 new cases in this country and approximately 60,000 related deaths. Perhaps as many as 1 in every 10 Americans will eventually develop colon/rectal cancer and between 5-10 million Americans who are alive today will die of this disease.
-
Appendicitis - One of the most common abdominal emergencies here in the U.S. It has been estimated that more than 300,000 appendices are removed each year in this country.
Diverticular Disease (Diverticulitis/Diverticulosis) - In 1900, this disease was almost unknown. It is now the most common disorder of the large bowel in the United States. It is reportedly present in more than one-third of those who are over 40 and in up to two-thirds of those who are over 80 years of age.
Hemorrhoids - Are believed to be present to some degree in nearly half of all people over the age of 50.
Benign Tumors - Have been reported to be present in one-third of all autopsies done on patients over the age of 20 …… and there’s lots more:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (including Spastic Colon);
Ulcerative Colitis;
Crohn's disease - And that's not all ...
Perhaps all of this doesn't surprise you. But take a look at the following categories of diseases and disorders that can also be related either directly or indirectly to the colon:
CARDIOVASCUIAR:
-
Cerebrovascular disease (Atherosclerosis; Aneurysm, Stroke, etc.);
-
Ischemic Heart Disease (Atherosclerosis; Angina, Heart attack, Congestive Heart Failure, etc.);
-
Deep Vein Thrombosis - Is believed to occur in 20-30% of all surgical patients and in over 40% of those undergoing major surgery;
-
Varicose Veins - Estimated to effect 10-20% of all adults in our society. One researcher has stated that over half of all urbanized Western people would develop varicose veins if they lived long enough;
-
Pulmonary Embolism - Is responsible for thousands of deaths here in the United States.
METABOLIC:
-
Diabetes - Especially Diabetes Mellitus, type 11-"adult onset diabetes"; It has been estimated that 3-10% of the population eventually develops known diabetes and that a much greater proportion have the disease undetected.
-
Obesity –now reaching epidemic proportions
-
Gall Stones, Hemorrhoids - Found in over 10% of all autopsies.
Kidney Stones; Gout – and still other major degenerative diseases:
-
Rheumatoid Arthritis; Auto-immune disorders; Pernicious Anemia; Multiple Sclerosis; Psoriasis,
If you recognize yourself in any of the above, you're certainly not alone. Although in our society problems associated with our "bowels" are just not discussed in polite company (and the medical profession chooses to ignore them), it is fairly safe to say that almost everyone experiences them. Symptoms of functional gastrointestinal disorder (constipation, abdominal pain, a feeling of incomplete evacuation after defecation, urgency, loose or runny stools, mucus, scybala [hard fecal matter], straining at stool, bloating/distension, and/or heartburn) are extremely common today ... even among apparently healthy people!
The next time you're in a crowd, look around you and realize that more than one in every three persons you see probably has some sort of functional bowel disorder!
And if you're in a group of senior citizens, the numbers jump to more than
one out of every two!
What is the evidence that ‘clogged colons’ is one of the underlying causes of all the above ailments?
Consider this: Numerous researchers have found a close association between large fecal output with a low incidence of disease; healthy populations are known to move their bowels two or three times a day, yet most ailing populations defecate only three times a week – many ‘sickies’ even less than that.
Additional research has pin-pointed ‘transit time’ as a critical issue (‘transit time’ is the duration between the initial time food enters the body by ingestion and the time the digested food passes out of the body in the stool). In healthy populations, ‘transit time’ is 35 hours or less; in the unhealthy, three to four days – sometimes longer. The longer ‘transit time’, the longer the digestive tract is exposed to various toxins and carcinogens.
Inadequate ‘transit time’ can also lead to Candida albicans. The overgrowth of candida in the gut poses a continual challenge to the immune system and may cause or facilitate many diseases, ranging all the way from unexplained chronic fatigue syndrome to chronic inflammatory conditions, which are now believed to be the underlying trigger of all manner of ailments from cardiovascular, to Alzheimers, to MS and other seemingly unrelated conditions.
The good news is, a substantial and mounting body of scientific and medical evidence suggests that most of the above diseases and disorders are, for the most part, easily preventable. In other words, there is no need for so many of us to have these kinds of problems.
Here are two simple things you can do:
ONE: Increase the amount of fiber in your diet - commit yourself to decreasing or eliminating highly-refined flours and sugars foods from your diet and increasing the amount of whole grains, fruit, and raw vegetables.
Since it is almost impossible to follow a ‘perfect’ corrective diet and eat properly under all circumstances, get the easy-to-take help Colosan provides.
TWO: Try the Colosan program – only once a week on this easy-to-follow protocol will almost certainly bring immediate benefits and the results you yearn for. Keep it up for a lifetime, and extend your life, disease-free.
